Terms and Conditions

Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd will provide all clients with a written estimated quotation, which will include sufficient detail for the completion of the works. If any clarification is required, please contact us so that we can provide it. As an estimation this means the price may increase if additional works are discovered, but this will be discussed with the client. Additional works will be provided subject to a written confirmation including additional costs (materials, labour and equipment hire)

Once a quotation has been accepted (either verbally or in writing) and the client has paid their deposit, then a contract has been entered into and these terms will come into effect. Quotations/Estimations are valid for 1 calendar months from the date on the quote.

All prices quoted are calculated on the basis of free access and unimpeded working during our normal working hours (08:30am – 16:30pm Mon – Fri).

If there are unforseen circumstances during the job that would incur additional work, we will halt work and discuss this with you first as this may incur extra charges and would require the job been requoted.

If you want us to do extra work whilst we are on site this will be an additional charge, this will be discussed with you first.

 

Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd is not responsible for the disposal of any hazardous material, such as Asbestos, we will inform you immediately as health and safety guide lines must be adhered to.

It is the clients responsibility to arrange planning permission, building control and any utility changes (e.g Severn trent or main Gas & electric supply). If planning permission is required for the work, Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd may request to see proof that this has been agreed prior to beginning work.

 

Should work be carried out on shared land or right of access land with another neighbour, we will ask that a signed agreement is put in place to ensure they consent to the work and any disruption they may incur.

Commencement of work is under the assumption of uninterrupted work for the duration of the contract and in accordance with planning permission where applicable. Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd will not be held liable for any costs incurred as a result of delays due to unforeseen circumstances. (e.g planning permission delays resulting in work having to stop or water surveys)

Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd will agree all practical arrangements with regards to working methods with the client in order to provide minimum disruption to the client and allow work to be carried out efficiently by the contractor.

Free access is required for delivery of building materials, plant, machinery, skips etc.

Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd may directly employ or sub contract labour to work on site. We ensure that the contractors we use are fully vetted and insured. Each sub-contractor takes full responsibility for their own public liability. Plumbing sub-contractors are Gas Safe registered and Electricians part of NICEIC or equal. Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd and partners will oversee specified works until completion.

Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd will provide a payment plan to the client prior to commencement of works. This will usually include 4 x staged payments, three staged payments at 30% each with a final payment of 10% will be due on completion of contract. Deposits for custom made material are non refundable. Deposits allow Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd to book work in and agree a formal start date for works and purchase materials. Please note: In the very unlikely event that Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd have to cancel your work, your deposit will be fully refunded.

In Order to instruct and book Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd a quotation must be accepted in writing and a purchase order must be issued, If there are any additional variations during works that need to be quoted/estimated they will also require acceptance in writing and a purchase order must be issued before work is carried out.

Invoices will be sent out prior to the relevant payment date and each invoice will serve as a receipt for payment. Payments must be made within 30 days and all payments must be made by BACs payment.

Insurance – Public Liability: Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd has Public Liability Insurance to the sum of £5,000,000. Employers liability insurance Professional Indemnity insurance to the sum of £500,000.

All client information is retained in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988 and all personal and other client details will remain confidential.

Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd will endeavour to protect existing surfaces with the use of dustsheets and loose plastic sheeting etc along with care in our working practice. However, responsibility for protection from damage of any existing surface or fabrics etc is the responsibility of the client. Arrangement can be made to put in place protection of existing surfaces, over and above our basic cover, at a negotiated additional cost. We strongly recommend the clients move any expensive or sentimental items before work commences. Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd is not responsible to move furniture to undertake our work, We advise clients to keep all valuables and expensive items safe.

Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd is a part of the Considerate Contractors Scheme. Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd code of conduct are split up into 3 key areas; Respecting the community, Caring for the environment and Valuing the work force.

Safety Net Fire Solutions Ltd may take pictures of the progress of our projects. We reserve the right to use these pictures in our portfolio of work, on our website and on various social media websites for marketing and information purposes. Please let us know via email at the start of your work if you are not happy with this.
